Benjamin Starr
Owner/Agent
My wife Kelsey, my sons Coleman and Cooper and I appreciate all that Monroe County has to offer. As long-time residentswe enjoy the Downtown District, the plentiful public parks and the access to many wonderful Michigan locations throughout the state. I am a member of the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce, a past board member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Monroe Area, past board member of Monroe Area Soccer Association, and currently serving on the Monroe Public Schools Education Foundation Committee. In addition, my family and I our members of Elevate Church where we enjoy attending and serving.
My wife Kelsey and I, after graduating with Bachelor degrees from Michigan State University, decided to partner in the Starr Insurance Agency, which houses two generations of Farm Bureau Insurance agents with over 30 years combined experience. I enjoy the opportunity to serve our 5,000 plus client base and continue the high level of service and professionalism we have provided since 1980. The agency is active in sponsoring youth league sports programs, the Monroe Center for seniors, many city-run safety programs for children, and statewide essay contests for elementary schools.

As a lifelong resident of Monroe County I appreciate everything it has to offer. I am a graduate of St Mary Catholic Central and St John Grade School. I am also a graduate of the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo. I am an active member in the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, NAIFA, as well as the Bedford Business Association where I was a past board member. I completed the Leadership Monroe program through the Chamber and also attended the National School for Producer Development in California. I am currently working on my FSS designation.
It was an easy decision when I was approached by Ben Starr to partner with the Starr Insurance Agency. Ben and I grew up together watching the hard work his father put in day in and day out to build such a successful and trusted agency in the community. Our goal is to continue his legacy day after day helping families in Michigan achieve their dreams.
