Celebrating Excellence: Bedford Junior High’s America & Me Essay Contest Winners
The top three winners of Bedford Junior High School’s 2025–2026 America & Me Essay Contest are:
1st Place: Michael Pietrowski
2nd Place: Brianna Zoltaszek
3rd Place: Annabelle Jackson
We are especially proud to recognize 8th grade student Michael Pietrowski, whose essay ranked among the Top 10 in the state out of more than 3,000 entries in the Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan America & Me Essay Contest. This is an incredible accomplishment and a moment of pride for Bedford Junior High School and the entire Monroe County community.
Michael ultimately earned an outstanding 3rd place finish statewide.
As part of this achievement:
Michael will receive a $1,000 scholarship
Bedford Junior High School will receive $1,000
The school will receive an additional $500 for being sponsored by a Farm Bureau Insurance agency
The Top 10 statewide winners will be honored during a special Awards Day in Lansing on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Hosted by Farm Bureau Insurance, the event will bring together students, their parents, and a teacher for a memorable day of recognition. As the sponsoring agent, Kelsey Starr will also attend to celebrate alongside the students.
